It took less than 2 min to do a round trip beer and soda run mid concert. We got a huge $8 soda for the kids to share and got a free refill. Beers seemed overly pricey at $13.5, but were 24 oz tallboys, so basically $6.75 per regular can of beer. There are no pole obstructed views in this area and very easy access to the concessions and facilities. The preferred area is a fenced off area in the front of lawn, but not in the center. Thankfully, we had the preferred lawn or we would have struggled to find a spot a long way away. We were able to walk right in as most of the crowd was already there. There is no way to avoid complete gridlock on the massive west side lot.
I highly recommend parking on the east side. Very little back up and out within 10 minutes after the show. We arrived coming from Flossmoor Rd to the east side of the venue and parked in a lot on the SE side.
First, we were late arrivers (15 min after the opening act was scheduled) due to work and being from the NW burbs. They do a poor job online of explaining what this is, but well worth it. Took the whole family to a great sold out Imagine Dragons show, so opted for the cheaper lawn seat, but thankfully had upgraded to the preferred lawn.
